Use this browser-local directory to compare the fixed state filing costs a ROBS sponsor may encounter when forming a domestic for-profit C corporation. The model is intentionally narrow: it does not treat state taxes, publication, local licenses, professional work, registered agents, foreign qualification, or payment surcharges as comparable fixed totals.

Methodology and limits
Each record uses an official state filing office or tax agency source and records the reviewed locator language in the table. The comparable calculation includes only a domestic for-profit formation filing amount and a fixed recurring report, list, license, or minimum state filing obligation when the amount is stated as a fixed baseline.
Variable share, capital, receipts, franchise, income-tax, local-license, publication, registered-agent, service-company, foreign-qualification, expedited, certified-copy, and payment-processing amounts remain visible caveats rather than hidden assumptions. That makes the directory less tidy, but more honest for a ROBS-funded C corporation that must preserve clean corporate and plan records.
After state fees are isolated, test whether the operating plan covers fixed costs with the break-even revenue calculator.
High-risk examples
These jurisdictions show why the directory separates fixed filing baselines from taxes, share-based formulas, channel choices, and local costs before comparing C corporation formation states. Review the cards before treating a low formation fee as the full cost of keeping a ROBS sponsor corporation in good standing.
