The directory uses the site's maintained provider record set. It does not scrape the web at runtime, add providers from search snippets, or invent a market total.
Default order is alphabetical. Optional setup-fee sorting uses the first published dollar amount only and pushes quote-only or unavailable records behind priced records without treating unknown as zero.
Filters identify records matching documented text. They are not rankings, approvals, compliance conclusions, or personalized recommendations.
Unknown, quote-only, unavailable, and not fully verified records remain in the denominator. A missing tag means the maintained public evidence did not support that tag; it does not prove the provider lacks the service under a written contract.
How this tool differs from /providers
The ROBS provider editorial directory remains the main directory and profile navigation page. This tool is a route-local browser interaction for narrowing maintained provider records before using provider profiles, quote worksheets, and diligence questions.
The tool does not replace profile pages, provider methodology, or independent professional advice. It avoids unsupported rankings and avoids selected customer quotes, third-party review snippets, rating widgets, or lead-capture forms.
Public source notes and verification boundaries
Provider facts come from official provider service and pricing pages recorded in the maintained provider records. Official IRS and Department of Labor materials frame the ROBS plan and fiduciary obligations that provider marketing cannot waive.
